About AIHR

AIHR is a fast-growing blog and academy in the People Analytics (also called HR Analytics) space. We run the #1 online HR academy where we teach professionals to leverage the power of data and implement data-driven HR practices within their organizations. With over 80.000 monthly visitors, the AIHR blog is the go-to platform in our area of expertise and is ranked among the most visited HR websites worldwide. The company is headquartered in the heart of Rotterdam, the Netherlands and consists of an international, dynamic, and driven team of 14 people.

What we are looking for

We are a fast-growing scale-up, so there’s always work to be done and you will have to be a jack of all trades. Even though we like you to be yourself, there are certain qualities that will help you thrive at our company. These include a strong work ethic for high-quality work, a real self-starter attitude with a craving to push beyond conventional boundaries and trying new stuff. You need to be capable of dealing with challenges fast, keeping pace and getting it right. You’ll also need the confidence to take on big challenges and deliver on them. We’re looking for someone who is competitive, structured, driven by numbers, and determined to drive our company to the stars!

A typical day in the job…

You arrive in the office at 8:30. The marketing team is usually already sitting there and working, and the rest will trickle in within the hour. Flexible working hours for the win!

After a brief chat with your colleagues, you grab a cup of coffee, start your computer, check your calendar for meetings, and prepare the day around the calls and Skype meetings your leads have requested. Next, you check your email for questions that potential customers have sent you. Our customers come from over 60 countries and you enjoy the variety of cultures and backgrounds you encounter. After all, understanding cultural differences and acting accordingly is one of your special powers.

After planning your day, you open the CRM system and go through your tasks for the day. You follow up with existing leads that you haven’t heard from in a while, prepare quotes, supplier forms, and invoices, and create new orders in the order management system. You call customers who have requested meetings and give them course advice based on their background and professional goals.

After a complimentary lunch in our office with a view over the Erasmus bridge, you start working on a market research project. We recently launched a second platform with a rapidly growing user-base and it’s your job to find out what kind of products we can sell to this new audience. We try to keep the meetings to a minimum: once a week, you’ll join the sales and marketing meeting to go over strategy and proposal and once every two weeks, you’ll take part in the sprint planning sessions.

And if it’s the last Friday of the month, then you’re invited to join the monthly BoBu (short for Borrel-Burger). This is the time where the whole team comes together to have fun and get to know each other outside of work.

Job Duties

In this job, you will play a vital role in growing our customer base. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Managing your own leads in our CRM system
  • Working on different market research projects
  • Having calls and Skype meetings with potential and existing customers
  • Taking the lead on customer analysis
  • Contributing to sales and marketing strategies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Native or near-native English speaker and writer
  • You are able to work independently towards set goals
  • You are super organized
  • You want to constantly improve sales strategies and your own performance
  • You are passionate about helping people, proactive and eager to learn
  • Previous B2C sales, business development or account management experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with CRM systems is a plus

Key learnings

  • Experience how it is to work in an ambitious and fast-growing company that’s scaling internationally
  • Learn to work in an agile way
  • Direct and visible impact of your work on the company’s performance
  • Work in an international team (14 people with 7 different nationalities)

We offer

  • Competitive compensation + monthly bonus structure
  • The opportunity to shape your own day-to-day work;
  • Flexible working hours
  • A high degree of autonomy in a fun, young, and enthusiastic startup team

We offer a beautiful office in the heart of Rotterdam (Blaak 516), free lunch, regular drinks, and fun team activities.

Application deadline: 28th of February 2019.
